Pixelatl has grown rapidly and currently it’s a complex event with many venues and activities occurring simultaneously. In order to accommodate all our content with the little resources we have, we have designed a program structure and a system that when you use it for the first time might be confusing.

That’s the reason we would like to guide you step by step so that your Festival’s experience is a memorable one. Please read carefully each of the following instructions:

  1. Acquire your passes: You can purchase your accreditation starting at the end of July, or obtain it by participating in any of the calls that Pixelatl launches throughout the year. You can go over the details in the following article. We also offer group discounts if you are interested.

  2. Assign your passes: The system allows for one person to purchase many passes. That’s the reason that you need to tell the system which pass belongs to who. This step is necessary even if you only punched a pass for yourself. Once the system is enabled (late July), just follow these steps:

    • Go to the scroll menu of your account (top right corner of the website) and click PASSES. There you will find the passes that you have acquired.
    • Click “Assign” in each of the passes and write the email of the person that should get the pass and click “Buscar” (Search). The email you’re entered should be the same email that the person has used to registered or your email if you are assigning the pass for yourself.
    • The system will show the name and avatar of the person you are searching and will ask you to confirm that it is the person that you have purchased the pass for. Make sure that you use the correct email in each stop because after assigning the pass, you can’t undo this operation.
  3. Get to know the speakers, executives, guests, and the program of activities: It’s very important that you know who is coming and what can they offer that can benefit your knowledge, inspiration, or career. Sometimes, the less familiar artists have participated in major productions and they can help you understand how the industry works and how you can be a part of it. We will publish our guests the first week of August and their activities the second week.

  4. Register to the activities: Even though your pass gives you access to certain activities, all the venues have a limited capacity. That’s the reason that you need to register to the activities that you want to participate in. Get more details here.

  5. Create your Atlas profile if you haven’t don’t it yet. All the participants to the Festival, including companies, studios, broadcasters, etc can look into your profile and maybe schedule a portfolio review, interview, or project pitch. It’s a requirement if you want to apply for a workshop or portfolio review session. If you have never created a profile in elatlas.mx, you need to log in using your same Festival’s account and build your profile.

  6. If you have an Online or Market pass, access the online activities live while they are happening, and On-Demand until September 30. You will find the link to enter the broadcast in the program section.

Above all, make sure you know what you want to get out of Pixelatl. Like every human experience, you can benefit the most if you are clear of your goals for the event.

… By the way, do you know why you are coming to PIxelatl?

In the Festival, you will have the opportunity to learn new things in the workshops and masterclasses and by listening to each other experiences in the industry. You can get inspired by looking at some of the best animated content and video games that are about to be released. You can also meet emerging artists from Latin America in Amoxtin. You can get to know international consolidated artists in the Coffee with sessions, when they walk around La Feria, sign autographs, or they hit the bar to have a drink, or at the cocktail parties at night.

All these are great and are important, but that we consider the most valuable PIxelatl experience is that you can grow your industry network. We are not just talking about meeting big starts or famous executives. The best connections are the persons that are behind you in the lines, or the people sitting right next to you during out talks.

No matter if you are starting your career, or if you are a student yet, all of us who participate in PIxelatl, you included, are part of the industry and we want to continue developing ourselves and the industry itself. The audiovisual industry is a collaborating industry and the best resource you can find is not so much our experience or talent, but the capacity to add other people or to become a team player to create better projects all together.

There are some members of the industry that are extroverted and charismatic, but most of us are shy or introverted and we have a hard time to socialize with other people. Just remember, that the famous artist that you admire today, started just like you: without knowing what to do, or how to approach somebody that he/she didn’t know. Therefore, we encourage you to talk and get to meet other people during the festival. Participate in all the activities that you can and become part of the community.
