This workshop is aimed at animators, filmmakers, and creative directors who are not necessarily dedicated to sound, but who at some point have to collaborate with someone who is. The idea is not to make them sound experts, but to give them the tools to understand the process, communicate better with the sound designer, and make more informed creative decisions when directing.
The objective is to give the attendee the basic fundamentals to understand the parts and processes that make up audio production and post-production in an audiovisual piece — the vocabulary and logic of the trade, not the operational technique — with some historical context on the evolution of sound cinema as a context and axis.
