Drawing with Light and Shadow

The ability to draw anything by reducing it to blocks of light and shadow opens the door to effectively capturing anything we see: Understanding light as a drawable form gives us the foundation for more impactful tonal values, greater depth, and greater speed in our drawing.

In this workshop, Icarus will explain the system for stopping seeing objects and understanding elements, characters, and backgrounds as a single ecosystem of shapes; as well as providing tips to strengthen your live drawing.
