Latin American animation continues proving why it is a global powerhouse, and the case of Gorrionetas is the latest example of this. It is a 9-minute 2D animated short film, drawn frame by frame, currently generating a wave of excitement on Kickstarter thanks to its striking visual proposal.
Directed by Gastón Pacheco, Ezequiel Torres, and produced by Rudo Company, our beloved creative partners who brought the iconic Pixelatl cineminute to life in 2025, the project already carries impressive credentials: after its successful participation in the APA Lab in 2024, the team is preparing to conquer the MIFA market at the Annecy Festival in 2026.
To celebrate this milestone and strengthen the bonds within our community, Pixelatl, Rudo, and Gorrionetas invite you to a massive Art Jam this Saturday, May 23. Thanks to Magma’s collaborative drawing technology, we will open infinite browser-based canvases so artists from across the region can integrate their original characters (OCs) into the fascinating world of Gorrionetas.
