The Art Behind Wildwood: Stop Motion Production
Sofía Rosales Arreola is a fundamental talent of our community who has taken her vision from Ariel award winning short films to the most prestigious stop motion studios in the world. Following her work on the second unit of Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Sofía currently serves as Art Production Supervisor at LAIKA Studios. In this talk, she will share her exact experience working on the newly released feature film Wildwood. We will explore firsthand the monumental challenges of coordinating the art department in a massive production, how talent is organized to build tangible worlds, and the absolute best lessons she has gathered during her leap into the big leagues of frame by frame animation.
