The Ideatoon Bootcamp will take place from the 28th to the 30th of this month and, although it is a specialized program designed primarily for the selected projects, as always, we will have a series of talks open to the general public. These will take place next Wednesday, May 29, starting at 4:00 pm at Ciudad Creativa Digital in Guadalajara**.
This time, we will be joined by Emily Brundige, a series development expert, creator of Goldie (Apple TV), and head writer of the award-winning Hilda (Netflix). She is also the author of the incredible practical guide A Guide to Developing Animated Shows.
To discuss the challenges of creating and producing an animated series and bringing it to television in Mexico, we will also have a talk with Mr.Machin, who, in addition to developing content for MTV, Disney+, and Warner, have managed to produce a completely Mexican series that brings the legends of Guanajuato back to life. A success story from a 100% independent studio that never lets anything stand in its way.
And if that weren't enough, the great Nick Szopko will also give a masterclass. An indie creator who got his start on Newgrounds and as a YouTuber before going on to receive funding from Glitch. He was involved in the Helluva Boss phenomenon, won an award at the New York Indie Film 2021, and is now the creator and showrunner of The Gaslight District, the highly anticipated original series from acclaimed producer Glitch. He will share some of his secrets in this talk, which is open to the public.
These activities are free for anyone interested, but registration is required.
