The word “Enchant” refers to a spell or charm—to use magical powers to draw the will of others. It also means to capture someone’s attention through personal charisma, beauty, charm, or talent. To enchant is to enthrall, to seduce, to inspire fascination.
But in its etymological origin, from the Latin incantāre, the word literally referred to the inner song that something stirred within you: that sense of wonder you feel in your spirit when you are in front of something you admire, that captivates or sweeps you away.
Today, living in an environment of disillusionment and sadness, we want you to help us enchant the world again.
Perhaps you’re already doing it without realizing it—when you are moved by someone’s need, when you give without expecting anything in return, when your enthusiasm is so contagious that you inspire, or when you share what you’ve learned.
And if you share your stories and your art, then don’t hesitate—you’re already on this journey.
Because this is the secret to that magic:
By sharing, we rebuild who we are.
Together, we spark hope.
About the Manifesto: Each year we publish a manifesto based on the social situation and the place where we stand as a community. It also serves as the foundation for developing the creative concept and the image of the festival each year.
