Illustrator and Concept Art Artist. Former Program Director at ESCENA | Mexico

I’m Gaby Zermeño, 32 years old, from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. I studied Graphic Communication Design.

I have explored various areas of the illustration and animation industry, working for different educational and children's book publishers, including Cambridge University Press, StoryTime Magazine, MacMillan, and Cottage Door Press. I have also worked as a storyboard artist on Legend Quest: Masters of Myth, a series produced by Ánima and Netflix, and served as Art Director on the seasons of Galaxy of Creatures and Galactic Pals, a series developed for Disney and Lucasfilm in collaboration with the Mighty studio in Guadalajara.

Since 2019, I have been involved in academia, teaching Professional Illustration at ESCENA, an animation and digital art school in Mexico City. In 2022, I took on the role of Program Director for Illustration and Concept Art at the same institution, a position I held until the present year, 2024. I am currently working again as an independent concept art artist and illustrator, focusing on teaching in my spare time.
