Don't be afraid of fear.

It’s a basic emotion that allows us to prevent and avoid danger, both natural and social threats.

But fear also makes us make mistakes. When we aim for safety and we miss, for example, the unexpected or the unknown. Or when we project into others our personal wounds and we become full of prejudices.

And when fear overwhelms us, we can feel that we will not be able to achieve our goals; that everything will be failure, humiliation, and loneliness. Suddenly, the fear of being rejected is greater than the desire to express ourselves. We get paralyzed because we are afraid of making mistakes.

That is the reason we cannot give in to our fears. It is not about denying them or pretending that they are not there: they are part of us, and listening to them is listening to ourselves. The challenge is about understanding them and putting them in the right place.

So that hatred does not stop us. So that our voice and our songs are not silenced. So that we can build bridges and hugs, and help the rest of the world conquer its fears, because peace is made with opposites.

That is why we should face our fears. If we do it together, the path will be easier.

About the Manifesto: At the beginning of each year we make a manifesto according to the social situation and the place where we are as a community. It is also the basis for the creative concept and image of the festival each year.
