Casa Duhamel brings to Pixelatl 2024 some renowned artists and creators who have been involved in the production of the short film Mosca! and will participate in various activities as a team. Here’s a brief introduction to each of them so you can get to know them.

Mariscela Beatríz Méndez is a Chicana Director of Photography from Texas as has a deep connection to her Mexican roots. Some of her clients include Paramount+, Netflix, Amazon, and Google. Mariscela has been recognized by her contemporaries and is alumni from The American Society of Cinematographers Vision Mentor Program, Film Independent’s Project Involve, and a recipient of The Peregrine Collective Grant. Miss Méndez is also a Sundance Fellow in the ReFrame Rise program sponsored by Women in Film. Mariscela is a member of ICG Local 600 based in Los Angeles and works worldwide.

Peter Paul Bautista loves comic books, action figures, K-pop and flan. He loves looking back to his experience as an art director for an international engineering and construction firm before he began in animation. He loves that his first film was the original Space Jam. He loves that he has gotten to work at many major animation studios. When he is teaching storyboarding, he loves to share his unique and unusual stories in the industry. Right now, he loves that he has four new shows premiering in the Fall 2024 and four more in 2025 which includes ¡Mosca!

She has participated in various roles on projects such as "Thomas and Friends", "City Island", "HarmonQuest", "Max Steel: Turbo Warriors", and many more. She always dreamed of working with the kind of people who made the movies/series she watched as a child, whether in animation or live action. Her favorite franchise will always be "Transformers", and in recent years, she discovered a love for vtubers.

Tomás Reynoso, a graduate in Audiovisual Media and Animation with 8 years of experience in 2D animation, has worked on projects such as "Sadie Sparks", "Polly Pocket", "Thomas and Friends", "City Island", and many more. Since he can remember, Tomás has been captivated by science fiction and the mecha subgenre, and he dreams of one day creating his own animated series.

I am an animator from Jalisco specializing in traditional 2D and cut-out techniques. I have worked on notable projects such as "Space Jam", "Thomas the Train", "Aztec Batman", and "The Girl and the Wolf", contributing to outstanding productions for Warner and other well-known companies.

As Executive Director, Carlos oversees the creative vision, business, and production of Demente Animation Studio. With extensive experience in the animation industry, Carlos has spent over 10 years as an executive producer and supervisor of series, web series, TV commercials, video game trailers, and feature films for major studios, including Warner Bros, Wildbrain, Mattel, Bardel, Moonbug, PBS Kids, and others.

Yerani Kingston, a graduate in Animation and Digital Art with 5 years of experience, focuses on production. I really enjoy finding ways to improve processes and teamwork within Demente Studio. I’ve had the opportunity to work on commercials for Earth Day, commercials for Discovery Kids and Discovery Channel, “Save the tree” , “Night of the animated dead” , “Who Killed Sara?” , "Hello Kitty and friends MiniTales" “City Island”, and “Thomas & Friends”
