Head of Project Based Learning at Escena | México

Trained as a traditional visual artist, Andrés has spent the bulk of his professional life working as an educator, producer and director for 3D animated content. He was a production manager for Carlos Carrera’s Ana & Bruno, where he also worked as character model supervisor.

He left that project in 2012 to launch his own animation studio Poliedro, eventually partnering with Technicolor to open the first Latin American outpost for VFX powerhouse Moving Picture Company. He’s also cofounder of independent production company Zoología, where he’s participated as executive producer in several films, with an Ariel nomination for VFX for feature film Las Tinieblas.

He’s currently working at Escena Animation School, as head of its own in-house animation studio and of its project based learning program.
