Marvick Eduardo Nunez

Character Designer for "Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires" | Mexico


Mexican animator and illustrator. He began his career in 1996 as a traditional animator and screenwriter in a small animation studio dedicated to acid-humor short films broadcast on cable television.

In 1999 ventured into film and television as a storyboard artist and art designer, learning the craft and film language working in commercials for various production houses and for directors such as Luis Mandoki and Alfonso Cuarón.

In 2003 did a postgraduate degree in computer animation specializing in character animation. He later co-founded Terrícola Studios, a small animation studio where he became the art and animation director. During his management, he directed and worked on animated commercials and short films in mixed media, becoming traditional animation his specialty.

In 2015, he joined Ánima as an Episode Director for the animated show Legend Quest, the first Netflix original animated series from a non-English-speaking country.

His directorial debut, the animated film The League of 5, was released in 2020, an action comedy set in Mexico City.

In 2021, he worked as a character designer for several productions on development at Ánima, but mainly on Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires, which became his first job as a character designer for a feature film.

From 2022 to date he is working on his next animated feature as a director.
