Peter Girardi serves as Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, at Warner Bros. Animation (WBA).
In his role, Girardi oversees WBA’s efforts in the adult and young adult animation space – managing the development and current programming of series for all television platforms, including premium streaming services, cable and broadcast networks. Adult animated current series include the critically acclaimed Harley Quinn and its upcoming spinoff series Kite Man: Hell Yeah! as well as Velma, an original and humorous spin on the origin story of the unsung hero of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang, Creature Commandoes and Batman: Caped Crusader.
Girardi also leads on creative matters relating to the studio’s recent expansion into podcasts - spearheading development of original narrative podcasts and managing the relationships with creators. Current projects include Batman: The Audio Adventures for HBO Max and Batman Unburied and The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark for Spotify.
An acclaimed producer and a leading designer in the field of digital media, Girardi came to Warner Bros. after 13 years as executive creative director of Funny Garbage (FG), a company he founded in 1995. In 1999, he became the youngest person ever given the prestigious Daimler-Chrysler Award for Design Excellence. He began his career as a graffiti writer, painting on New York City subway cars and creating visuals for computers while at the School of Visual Arts.
