Preparing a film with corn, lemon, and salt.
First a comic and then a movie. Mr. Machin has given life to Manchón's bizarre and acid characters in “¡Hay elotes!”, a story set in a cyberpunk-style post-apocalyptic Mexico where elements of film noir and the ultra-violence of 80's Japanese anime are mixed with pre-Hispanic mythology and wisdom.
Focused on an art and animation pipeline, this talk will deal with corn, collaboration, the creation process, adaptation of production styles, funding strategy... and if it goes with spicy or not too spicy chili.
