Founding member of Brinca. Co-Director and Producer of HOME IS SOMEWHERE ELSE | Mexico

Carlos Hagerman was part of the team of directors of Alejandro González Iñárritu's production company before opening La Sombra del Guayabo, a company with which he has produced and directed documentaries such as LOS QUE SE QUEDAN (IDA, Humanitas Award 2009), VUELVE A LA VIDA and EL PATIO OF MY HOUSE. He also co-produced PLAZA DE LA SOLEDAD (Official Selection Sundance 2013) and RUSH HOUR (SXSW 2018). For the past 10 years he has directed and produced, together with Jorge Villalobos, animation projects such as “EL CHANGO Y LA CHANCLA”, “EL MOVIL” for Brinca. HOME IS SOMEWHERE ELSE is the studio's first feature film and had its world premiere at the 2022 Annecy festival in official Contrechamp competition.
