Juan Medina

Director, Producer and Animator | Mexico

Graduated in Plastic Arts, founding partner of the animation studio Outik. He has been dedicated to audiovisual production since 1995.

In addition to directing and animating short films, he has also made animated sequences for feature films. His film projects such as * The eighth day, the creation *, co-directed with Rita Basulto, * Jaulas * and * Zimbo *, have been distinguished with various national and international awards, highlighting three Ariel awards for best animated short film and one for best VFX.

In 2021 he presented his short film Uncle, which has been awarded at more than 40 festivals.

He also served as art and construction director in the Second Unit of * Pinocchio * by Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson, installed in the Taller del Chucho.

He is currently developing his debut feature film "Carbon Boy".
