Ian Worrel

Ian Worrel is an award-winning art director, best known for his work on Amphibia and Gravity Falls.

Graduated from the California Institute of the Arts in 2012. He began working for Disney on Gravity Falls, where he was nominated for two Annie Awards in production design, and in 2014 he was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for his work on the episode "Dreamscaperers." The award was for his work on the animation for the ending credits, which were done in the style of the Twin Peaks' theme song.

On Disney's Amphibia, he has collaborated as art director, as well as designer. At the same time he participated as Visual Development in the acclaimed * Mitchells vs. Sony Pictures Animation's Machines* and as a designer for Netflix's Inside Job, among others.

Worell is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts. In 2012, he began working for Disney on Gravity Falls. Despite the series being his first major piece of work, Worrel was nominated for two Annie Awards in Production Design in an Animated Television or Other Broadcast Venue Production in 2013 and 2016[1]; in 2014, he was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program for his work on the episode "Dreamscaperers." The award was for his work on the animation for the ending credits, which were done in the style of the Twin Peaks' theme song.
