Jocelyn Ojeda

Illustrator | Mexico


Jozz Ojeda is an artist and comic book author. She was born in Querétaro, Mexico, and from the age of twelve she studied in schools focused on arts and humanities. She entered the University of Guanajuato, where she studied Visual Arts. She is a graduate of the first generation of the Master's Degree in Graphic Narrative in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. In 2021 she obtained the Young Creators scholarship in the category of Graphic Narrative, for her project Lucía.

Her artistic production has been influenced by Asian culture, alternative comics and traditional Mexican graphics, merging these elements through digital drawing.

Her work has been published in different print and digital media such as MARVIN magazine, Magis magazine, Kobayashi Book Press and Tiny Splendor studio.

She has exhibited in Graphic Narrative and Illustration projects carried out by the French Alliance of Mexico City, the MUSA (Museum of the Arts) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, participating together with the C.A.F Nebula collective in Saitama, Japan, the Festival Internacional de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulêm, France, among others.
