Scot Stafford

Composer & Sound Supervisor, Pollen // Epifania | USA

Scot Stafford is an award-winning composer and sound supervisor for features, series, and immersive media. His work ranges from the Oscar-nominated Pixar short Presto to Netflix's recent feature Ultraman: Rising and the acclaimed series Lost Ollie, which won five Emmys, including for Most Outstanding Music.

In 2010, he co-founded Pollen, a multidisciplinary studio that integrates music composition, sound design, hi tech, and science to create cohesive sonic worlds. As a pioneer in immersive media, he guided the sonic identity—from score to soundscape—for all 17 of Google’s Emmy and Peabody-winning Spotlight Stories, collaborating with animation luminaries like Glen Keane and Jorge Gutierrez. His own directorial debut, the interactive VR experience Sonaria, was also nominated for an Emmy.

Scot is thrilled to be returning to Pixelatl. He was last here in 2017 with director Jorge Gutierrez for the world premiere of their VR experience Son of Jaguar. This year, he returns as the musical director and composer for the film Epifanía, which will celebrate its North American premiere at the festival.
